The Islanders Children’s Foundation is a New York State not-for-profit foundation, qualified under Section 501 (c ) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualified as a public charity. Since its inception in 2003, the Islanders Children’s Foundation has raised more than $5 million for the cause of helping countless children on Long Island and around the world.

The Islanders Children’s Foundation is dedicated to supporting Long Island-based, non-profit organizations that provide opportunities to children as well as a variety of in-house youth programming. The Foundation will work with children’s charities that focus on the areas of health, education and youth hockey development. Through the tireless efforts of Islanders players, employees and management, partnered with the support of loyal sponsors and fans, donations are raised for the Foundation.

The Islanders Children’s Foundation raises awareness and funds through a variety of charitable initiatives throughout the course of the season including the Islanders Annual Golf Outing, I.C.F. Day at Adventureland and the Blue and Orange Scrimmage. Special fundraisers during Islanders games provide additional ways to bring in donations for the  I.C.F.  These include the 50/50 Raffle, Chuck-A-Puck, Jerseys Off the Back, Valentine’s Day Puck Surprise, Holiday Grab Bag and Pink Stick Auction, among others.

The Islanders are true believers in the youth that surround us each day and that every child needs opportunities that will help them become successful in life. We also see the hardships that surround many families on Long Island whether a loved one is suffering from illness or whether the economy has taken a toll on the families around us. These families require the support from everyone in the community to make Long Island better.

The Islanders Children’s Foundation not only works with other not-for-profit programs, but also funds a variety of in-house youth programs. The Islanders@School Program, Holiday Hospital Visits and Toy Shopping Event, Bossy’s Bunch Charity Ticket Program, Amateur Youth Hockey Development Program and Islanders Fight Cancer Program were created to benefit youth on Long Island.
